Damaopu Community in dongshiha 東勢大茅埔社區 It is a traditional hakka village in Taichung county. It was surrounded by canal before. Thought most of the canal were put a cover over them, you still can see women wash clothes there. Most of residents live in the center of the community, and work at outside of the inner circle. So still now you can see a large tract in the suburbs. Especially the roads in the community are very narrow. It was because that they were usually attacked by aborigines lived in the mountains. I like there because I can see traditional hakka community type and enjoy their passion. If you want to visit it you can go by bus or by car. It is easy to find because it is just on the express way no.8. to Guguan. It takes you about 40min from Fongyuan to there.
